The Construction Site ^(tm)

This photograph is of a Palisade Jetty System Panel.

The stream flow (red arrow) passes through the net toward the white arrow and because the net has caused a reduction in velocity, suspended material (sand in this case) that is carried in suspension by the stream is dropped behind the System (black arrow) creating a deposit of sand. Eventually this river bank will be completely restored.
