Riprap (Broken concrete, rocks or rubble)
Pros:
Cheap, if nearby
Note: Will work better if a geotextile fabric is first laid down, then place the riprap on the fabric.
Cons:
Not very attractive
Attracts rodents, snakes, etc.
Difficult to walk on
Is a temporary fix (will usually wash away rather rapidly)
